The Waterboy

The Waterboy is the best movie and is based on “Bobby” Boucher, 31, who is the University of Louisiana football team’s water boy and is a socially awkward stutterer who has some mental disabilities.  He lives with Helen, his overbearing and devoted mother.

It’s a 1998 American sports comedy movie with Adam Sandler as the main character, along with Kathy Bates, Fairuza Balk, Henry Winkler, Jerry Reed, Larry Gilliard, Jr., Blake Clark, Peter Dante, and Jonathan Loughran. It was directed by Frank Coraci. Tim Herlihy and Adam Sandler co-wrote the script, and Robert Simonds and Jack Giarraputo served as producers.

Due to budget shortages, the Mud Dogs have lost 40 straight games and the players are required to share equipment. Klein encourages Bobby to defend himself when the new squad makes fun of him. In remembrance of the harassment he has suffered over the years, Bobby tackles the quarterback of the squad and knocks him out. Klein meets with Helen and attempts to convince her to let Bobby play on the team after realizing Boucher’s potential, but she refuses, claiming it would be too unsafe.

Some positive aspects are – the movie includes Adam Sandler, it’s a sporty type of movie, and is super entertaining. However, some negative aspects are their cheerleaders are alcoholics, some non-PG-13 activities, and Grand Theft Auto activities.

I 110% recommend this movie to everyone cause who doesn’t like Adam Sandler? Furthermore, the theme of the story is quite good and doesn’t ever get any sort of boring.
