- Big Ben gets a digital upgrade. In 1980, the British Broadcasting Channel was excited to deliver the news that the famous clock tower in London would become digital. It was revealed that it was an April Fool’s joke, and even after the they had to apologize since no one thought it was funny.
- Taco Liberty Bell. In 1996, Taco Bell announced it was going to buy the famous Liberty Bell. They did this in order to help the national debt. Some senators actually believed this, but were embarrassed when Taco Bell revealed it was a joke. Taco Bell later donated $50,000 for the bell’s care.
- Pi gets changed. In 1998 lawmakers in Alabama passed a law that changed 3.14159 to just 3. Many people believed this until it was revealed that it was written by someone who published an article about it.
- The Eiffel Tower moves. According to a French news outlet, in 1986 it was said that the Eiffel Tower would be dismantled and moved to a Disney World in Europe.
- Spaghetti harvest. In 1957, the British Broadcasting Channel reported that the spaghetti harvest in Ticino, a region near the Italian border, was great this year. The television showed videos of people cutting spaghetti off trees and eating it in a bowl. This is one of the most famous pranks of all time

Some of these pranks were really creative and funny. In my opinion, I think that Taco Bells’ prank was really good.
