“How do you grieve your dead dad when it has been over a year?”
As much as the loss of a family member hurts, it is important to remember the good times that you guys shared. Obviously, these memories could bring pain, but it is better to remember them as happy as possible.
Another great way to cope is to make collages of pictures with you and your loved one. Looking at these pictures can take you back to a time when you were happier.
Most importantly, make sure you FEEL your emotions. Bottling them up only works for so long so it’s better to express yourself.
Lastly, remember that getting over their death doesn’t mean that you’re forgetting them. Throughout time the pain will eventually fade away.
